Started in 1987 at the request of the Board of Trustees of the Upper Arlington Education Foundation, the Upper Arlington Alumni Association is a strong organization whose purpose is to keep U.A. Alumni, faculty and friends connected both to each other and to the school district. There are few public high schools in the country who are fortunate enough to have such an active and interested Association!

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Your membership dues enable us to maintain this website, our database and mailings, plus give money for special projects and equipment in the U.A. Schools. We do this along with our parent group, the Upper Arlington Education Foundation. The Foundation and Association have given more than $270,000 back to the schools. The assets to date are more than $820,000 in cash and securities plus $2.4 million in deferred gifts. Your gifts to the Foundation and Association are truly appreciated and well used!

For your convenience, you can easily and securely pay your membership dues online through Paypal.

TRADITIONS
UAAA prints a newsletter, Traditions, twice a year (Spring and Fall), which contains news of Class Reunions, articles about alumni and the district, and class news. If you would like to contribute to the next issue, please contact Joanie at the Alumni Office at 614-487-5007, ext. 120 OR email Bearalums@aol.com with your news.

OUR DATABASES

The UAAA maintains the database of all U.A. Alumni. At this time we have more than 27,000 records! This database is used by classes to contact their members for reunions or other events. It is very important that you keep your address information current with the Alumni Office so your classmates won't "lose" you! Remember, classes do not keep the class records; the Alumni Office is responsible for updating them. To update our office with a new address or phone number, please email Joanie.

Our email database now contains more than 12,000 entries, having started out with merely 314 email addresses in 2001, when Bearalums.com was born. To update our office with a new or changed email address or name change, please email Ellen.

UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

To update your CONTACT INFORMATION (mailing address, phone number), please email Joanie. Be sure to list your FULL name, address, home phone and class year.

To update your EMAIL ADDRESS on the Web site, please email Ellen and be sure to include your full name now, last name in high school, graduation year, and email address.

THE 4TH OF JULY BLOCK PARTY
We look forward to seeing all U.A. Alumni on July 4th at the annual Barrington School Block Party immediately following the annual 4th of July Parade. This event is for the entire community, so bring your friends and family! See photos from past Block Parties - you may be in them!!
