REUNIONS 2010

PLEASE NOTE: Because July 4 falls on a Sunday this year, the parade and UAAA Block Party will be held on Saturday, July 3.

This year's UA Civic Association Float Builder's Workshop will take place on Wednesday, April 14 at 7:00 pm in the Friends' Theater of the Tremont Library.

Representatives from the UA Police and Fire Departments will speak about important safety guidelines, and float builders from previous parades will be on hand to share details about how to build/organize parade floats.

Questions? Please email Lissa Wade or contact her by phone at 459-3282 (home) or 571.8367 (cell).

WHERE TO STAY WHEN YOU COME HOME FOR YOUR REUNION!

Lisa Craig Morton, Class of 1980, has a wonderful suggestion for a lovely place to stay when you come to Columbus for your class reunion!

Lisa and her husband, Jeff, own and operate the Victorian Village Guest House, which is located in Victorian Village on Neil Avenue. Conveniently located to Arlington, Grandview Heights, OSU, Arena District, Short North and Downtown Columbus, the Victorian Village Guest House offers a 950 square foot luxury suite tastefully appointed with antiques and modern amenities. The suite includes a full kitchen, private bath, bedroom with queen-sized bed and great room with soaring 17 foot ceilings. Situated in the rear lawn of the Morton’s completely renovated 1895 Queen Anne style home, the guest house provides privacy & delightful 2nd story views of the lawn, patios & perennial gardens. A peaceful retreat in an urban setting, Victorian Village Guest House is truly the best of both worlds.

Visit the Victorian Village Guest House Web site.

FOR ALL YOUR REUNION PRINTING NEEDS

Have you ordered your class reunion t-shirts yet? How about your invitations or Memory Books?

One of our own Bearalums, Mike Mignery, '85, owns a store located right here in UA at Kenny Centre. PHOTOGRAHIC CREATIONS and FAZE ONE INK are combined in one location to serve you as a one-stop place to get all your printing done, from banners and posters to t-shirts and hoodies. Brad Moyer, '84 is production manager and a design consultant for the companies. They can do personalization of any kind and create one-of-a-kind print materials for your reunion, your business, or organization.

It's great to do business with people we know, and Brad and Mike have been in the business for 13 years. They have a wealth of creative ideas for ways to make your reunion or other occasion unique and special. Please visit their web sites and call them at 614-538-1315 or stop in at 1129 Kenny Center with your ideas. You can also email Brad and email Mike.

NOTE from Ellen Clark, Class of 1969: Brad produced t-shirts and hoodies for our son's company, Golden Bear Lawn Care Ltd., and not only is the quality excellent, but also the turnaround time was unbelievably fast. Brad and Mike are great to work with - excellent communication, too, which I always appreciate!

NOTE from Mary DeCesaro Cameron, Class of 1979: Brad and Mike created our reunion invitations and are doing special reunion photo t-shirts as well. I highly recommend their services and enjoy doing business with other alums. Even though our Class of 1979 job wasn't a million dollar job for them, they treated it as if it were. They were fast, and the quality of their work is excellent.
